Here are the prompts for Skrzynecki’s poetry from last year’s final exam:
Old/New World: New & Selected Poems by Peter Skrzynecki
i. “We’re standing / in an empty field / with a hill in the background.”
How does Skrzynecki contrast the desolation of Europe with the fertility of Australia?
OR
ii. ‘Skrzynecki’s poetry explores relationships between parents and children.’ Discuss.
We will be deconstructing these prompts (shared doc in Google Classroom) and developing a detailed skeleton plan for one of them – your choice if you follow this through to final drafting stage & submission for feedback
Enjoy,
BWR
